I copied the database and all the software over, edited this and that, and then put a redirect on the old server.

There might be another bump in the road when I move the domain name pointers, so it would be good to bookmark: http://hullabaloo.sunsims.com/forum/

Good move! I can't guess the domain redirect is not working on your machine. (Edit: But I can explain why your avatar image isn't working. It was coming from the SimsHost server.)

I posted a note on Sun Sims that this morning on its 5th anniversary, SimsHost officially closed.

The Hullabaloo is now hosted by Sun Sims. I plan to keep the Hullabaloo on line as an archive but don't plan to accept any new members here.

It looks like I'll have to upload the whole images directory for the old simshost.com domain because there are so many things linked from it. (Done.)

There's still something wrong with the rewrite rules, darn it.

The 'baloo just came up at the old url, but my avatar is among the missing.

I was trying to get a rewrite rule to work so that if you go to the old URL, you automagically end up at the new URL. That didn't work, so I moved the old URL to a different directory and put back in the index pages with the redirect in the header.

The real technical problem is that if you access the board through more than one URL, it messes up your cookies.

Yeah, your avatar is missing because it was on woodensimolean.simshost.com and I don't have a way to recover it.

I checked and that file is not on the server. All I can suggest is that you try it again.
