...I had that would check for "conflicts" between files in the Downloads folder. For the life of me, I can't remember the name of it! (I do know it wasn't anything by Maxis/EA. It was a 3rd party mod.)

I had to search to find out where I got it, but you might be thinking of the Hack Conflict Dectector from Paladin's Place (also known as Sim Wardrobe).

Yeah, that one's a real goodie. The Clean Installer from MTS2 is useful for sorting out files that have conflicting GUID's.

On second thought, if you're just looking for general conflicts between files, I'll betcha Clean Installer was it.

Actually, it was the one from Paladin's Place! (Should have guessed! I had SimWardrobe too, for Sims 1. Loved that thing... )

Thanks for the help/link! (I totally forgot about Clean Installer. Better grab that too. )

Yeah, the Clean Installer will save you a LOT of grief. Every time you install a .sims2pack, you have the option of not installing any custom content that's tagging along.
