I am new to the Hullabaloo, but not SimHost. Maybe someone here can help me. I signed up and paid for a subscription to Simhost two weeks ago using PayPal and have not been able to access any part of SimHost except Hullabaloo. I have enjoyed being a registered user in the past, but I am getting very frustrated. If no one here ca help me, please point me in the right direction. Half my first sub is over and I have not even been able to play the Treasure Hunt. Thank you

Eek! You should have asked quicker!

1) Our main avenue of support is subscriber-support(at)simshost.com. Use a descriptive title like I can't access my SimsHost Account because the Help Director system is being deluged with spam.
2) https://www.simshost.com/exchange/?cmd=get_password will mail your account name and password to you with just your email address.

I'll have Nancy pop in too!

I'll assume Nancy is on the job with resolving the problem, but I thought I'd add a note: Don't worry about your subscription. It doesn't start until you activate it, so if you haven't been able to log in, then your subscription hasn't started yet. Of course we'd just tune it up as required in any case.

Some other important thoughts come to mind, that everyone will want to know.

You should be able to log in to your SimsHost account regardless of whether you have put money in your account or activated your subscription.

If you do a PayPal or credit card payment, the money should show up in your account within seconds. (Go to http://www.simshost.com/ and click on the link to "Maintain Your Acount" to peruse your account status and do other nifty stuff.)

So, if it seems like something is awry, or that an automated process is taking too long, it probably is. It might help to look at the list of Frequently Asked Questions, but if not, don't hestitate to write to us at subscriber-support (at) simshost dot com.

It's really, really helpful if you write from the same address that you entered in your SimsHost user profile.

I didn't know that the clock didn't start ticking until you'd "activated" it!

Of course, I've had my account for 4.5 years, so I probably just forgot that detail...

Yeah, that was a change we made a couple of years ago. Now you can turn your subscription off if you're going to be away from it for a while. The activation fee applies to restart it, which keeps folks from abusing the system.
