Don't know about sunburns & tan-lines, but apparently they can get heat stroke if they're over dressed in the Summer!

Seriously sound like an awesome EP!

Now, everyone bow their heads & join me in a little "Bug Free" prayer.....

I wouldn't be surprised if Maxis programmed in sunburn with Weather, but I'd be less sure about tan lines.

Tan lines would require that they analyze the clothing that the sim is wearing. It would be quite possible and actually relatively easy to do that, but it would require skills in design and programming that EA has never demonstrated.

I posted a skin with tan lines on Insimadult and seem to have started something of a fashion trend in skin tone design. Almost all of my nude skins have at least a hint of tan lines because almost all real people I've seen have some hint of tan lines.

Yep,they will be to busy installing all the bugs and glitches to fiddle around that much with clothes...
I'm pretty sure a hyper hacker will sort it out! geek

Why never make a family with pets in CAS? I just did...

Ok, I found out what the problem is...

When your kids grow up, they can lose their faces (as in nothing between the neck and the hair!) if you put pets in the family with CAS.

At least that's the current theory on MATY...

confused

You know just once wouldn't it be cool if a game-bug actually made sense?

Don't remember. It's safer to just make one "family" with the Sims and another with the pets and move them in together before playing.

Did I read that right? It sounds like you can make a family of pets, with no people.

Exactly! I think it was intended to allow easy adoption of custom made pets by existing families, for example, if Gregsim and Sheba decided they wanted two daschunds of particular appearance...

Oh! Can you even make them sisters from the same litter? Grin

Can you move pets into their own home and have them get jobs and everything? Grin

You can't play a house without any "human" Sims. They need at least one to be devoted to them, after all, these are the household gods we are talking about.
And I don't think you can make them have babies in the CAS - you have to make kittens and puppies the old fashioned way, ingame, in a pet house with the curtains closed!

Well, you can make them sisters and the same age. I think you could even make them genetically sisters, but I haven't tried using the "family tree" with pets yet.

Getting back to the subject of the much anticipated (well, by me anyway) Seasons EP featuers.....

Seems that a whole batch of Sim WebSite owners were invited to a sort of pre-beta testing party! They have been posting their reviews & I must say ohmygooshthisisgoingtobeawesome!!!!

Here's the links to two of the reviews, if anyone is interested...

http://www.simfantastic2.com/sepreview.htm

http://www.thesimsresource.com/article/seasons

A few of the highlights :

-There is a new Neighborhood complete with new pre-made families
-You can set a Neighborhood's Seasons to all (default) or just 1, 2...
-Each season (enless interfeared with via the Weather Machine aspiration reward) lasts 6 Sim days
-Motives decay slower so you can enjoy more time outside
-Vampires & Werewolves are joined by another "alternate" Sim type, the Plant People*
-Pools can have curved edges, real-time shadows & reflections
-If a Sim is in a pool or hot tub durning a thunder storm, they can be electricuted
and the coolest feature...
-All user/custom content can have snow accumilation & other effects!

Febuary 27th suddenly seems like a loooooong ways away!

-ZW

*Plant People get that way by using to many pesticides in their garden. There is (of corse) a cure for this ailment, but the funkiest feature is that- unlike Vampires & Werewolves- the Plant People can pass this afliction onto their offspring!
