I scored the same as Rose, complete with a tie-breaker question, even though it really didn't make a lot of sense since I very rarely wear black miniskirts.

Now I'm puzzling over the list of questions because about half of them were about Satanism. I had never equated the Goth style with Satanism. Am I missing something?

I would have to disagree on that one smile

so would Wikipedia...

The goth subculture is a contemporary subculture prevalent in many countries. It began in the United Kingdom during the late 1970s to early 1980s in the gothic rock scene, an offshoot of the post-punk genre. The goth subculture has survived much longer than others of the same era. Its imagery and cultural proclivities indicate influences from nineteenth century Gothic literature, mainly through horror movies.

The goth subculture has associated gothic tastes in music and fashion. Gothic music encompasses a number of different styles. Common to all is a tendency towards a “dark” sound and outlook. Styles of dress within the subculture range from death rock, punk, Victorian, androgynous, some Renaissance style clothes, or combinations of the above, most often with black attire, makeup and hair.

and as for Satanism, no mention of it...
(again Wikipedia)

Religious elements
Spiritual, supernatural, and religious imagery has frequently played an important part in gothic fashion, song lyrics, and visual art. Aesthetic elements of Catholicism especially play a major role in goth culture.

However, the goth subculture contains a great diversity of religious and secularist beliefs. Many goths seek to free themselves from what they perceive as the limitations of traditional systems of religious belief, and express a belief in secularism, or New Age approaches to spirituality. A large number of goths adhere to atheism or agnosticism. An interest in Neopaganism, spiritualism and the occult among goths appears to be greater than among the general population. However, many goths also follow world religions such as Christianity, Judaism, Islam, Hinduism, Taoism and Buddhism.

Satanism basically stole most of Catholicism and turned it on its ear for the creator's own purposes, namely, summoning infernal aid to keep the romantic attentions of one of the French kings. You've gotta look closely sometimes to tell if you've got the Catholic version or the Satanic version.

The Satanic connection that came to my mind is the goth sub-group that are vampire wannabees to the point where they bite each other. Quite a few of those are into Satanism.

Come on, people, you want to eat things as unlike you as possible to reduce the chance of disease and parasites... humans and pigs should definitely be in the "do not eat" catagory, especially raw!

Don't even get me started on the differences between Satanism and devil worship...they are two distinct things, though the terms are often used interchangeably in regular society. Rather than spark a debate, however, I'll just leave you guys to independent study if you're so inclined. smile

Hey, I eat pigs and like it! (Cooked, of course) Like Burgess Meredith said in Grumpy Old Men.....For breakfast, I have a pound and a half of bacon, I eat a bacon sandwich for lunch, and I drink my dinner!

I love ham, bacon, pork chops, pork loin roasts....mmmmmmmm.........

Lol, I like pork, too! I just make sure it's darn well cooked... I don't really care that they're now claiming that with the controlled feed and environment that the risk of catching anything is minimal. Mine is cooked well done!

Human... gah, do you know where that's been? What it's been fed? Who it had sex with? Definitely stay away from the liver! It's probably full of heavy metals and partially pickled to boot!

Somewhere I read, in cannibal populations, the incidence of parasites is higher in humans than in the pigs...

Right there, that tells me, don't eat humans!

Indeed. If you eat humans, make sure they are very well done.
