Im sorry, maybe the answer is already in this forum, but it is 6:45 in the morning and after my sims **** up and after a few minutes of google'n
i've had enough.
The guestion is: i am downloading some stuff... some cause the game to shut down so i delete them, ( maybe just some error in the file, or something)
anyway, i've just checked all my downloads and they seem to work BUT now my sims don't move. it's not that the whole game freezes, but the time just keeps standing still......
do i have too many downloads already??
How many can you have ( i don't use any expensions at this point)

can you get all the expension packs for the sims without it crashing? and how many objects and stuff can you download??
or do you make the objects yourself and don''t download them??

and furthermore i'd like to know...:
is it worth it to buy ( or download) the sims 2???
or should i just get all of the expensions for the sims 1??

waiting for your reply,

yay Arnhem!

Ok, Sims1 is pretty touchy about bad files.

Try taking out the newest ones (Sort by creation date, not modification date).

Download SimEnhancer and SE Object Manager from, both have a 48 hour trial period. Somewhere here, I posted instructions on how to use them...

Yes, you can play with all expansions. There is a somewhat nebulous upper limit on how much you can download. It was about 3 gig on my old puter. If you've got under 100 meg, it's probably not "too much stuff"!

Yes, I download as well as making stuff. I have a separate documents folder for making stuff so I don't have to dig through a ton of stuff that the creator doesn't want recolored.

It sounds like you might be hitting a memory overrun in your computer. If that's it, the only solution I can think of would be either more RAM or fewer things installed in your game.
