I figured that her new chess painting would be enough to keep Connie Pearlman amused for a while, but noooo...

I foolishly asked, "Uh, what do you have in mind this time, ma'am?"

"Well, you know, the class languorous lady pose."

"Yeah, I can do that. Any other specifications?"

"I'll stump you with this one! I want it to be one of Charlie's Angels!"

"Farrah Fawcett?"

"Fresher. My generation of angels!"

"Well then-- here ya go! Drew Barrymore herself, in the classic babe-behind-the-bar post!"

"Wow! Where'd you get that picture?"

"Would you believe I'm a personal friend of Drew?"

"No."

"Oh well. It was worth a shot."

If you don't have the time or inclination that's fine, I'll make it one of my first projects when I start working on objects. Still trying to master clothing at the moment!

Sure, I can do that! I'm at the office right now but as long as these thunderstorms in Houston don't knock out the power it'll only take a few minutes.

I've found that actually making the painting isn't the time-consuming part. First figuring out what to make and then choosing an original object to base it on. (I haven't learned to make new meshes yet.) Then there's testing it in the game, making screen shots, getting the screen shot and the zip file on line, and then posting a note about it.

(And then there's writing a story about the sim who wanted the silly thing in the first place!)

I'll search around for a better original, too.

Darn. Now that I see that one in the game, I'm thinking I should have put it in a gilt frame, even if the frame is less elaborate than the one in the movie.

Let's see if I get inspired to take another shot at it.

I just showed it to her, and she thinks it looks awesome! If you want to try another frame, that's your call, but it looks good the way it is, too! She'll probably finally set up a Hullabaloo account and say hey and thanks herself in a little bit.
