The sig file says: "Fiona Dexter quoting Monkey, J. Gregory Keyes, Dark Genesis"

Which means nothing to me, but here's a new one anyhow:

"You can't use my neurosis as a justification for yours."

Yes - it is a Babylon 5 book. Very good book, too. If you like the B5 universe - I do, it's dark and it has a strong story arc.

Uh oh. I've never seen that one. It's possible that the board is getting confused by cookies if you have more than one reply window open at the same time, but I've done that and not had replies go to the wrong threads.

"You can't use my neurosis as a justification for yours."

-- From the dialog of last Sunday's "Charmed" on television. Piper said it to Paige.

Here's another one:

"Only those who will risk going too far can possibly find out how far one can go."

T S Elliot

That would be the author of the scandalous book, The Seven Lady Godivas...

... Dr. Seuss!

And now for a thought that seems to have become lost to western philosophy:

"We must not indulge in unfavorable views of mankind, since by doing it we make bad men believe they are no worse than others, and we teach the good that they are good in vain."

Walter Savage Landor (whoever he is, I had to look it up)

"I will honor Christmas in my heart, and try to keep it all year."

"I was a virgin when I went in and I was a virgin when I came out."

-- Hugh Hefner

He was talking about his tour of duty in the army.

Oops. I forgot that we were doing a guessing game. I was thinking that Charles Dickens had said that!

So... lemme guess... George Carlin?
