I hate hate hate when visitors pop over when they are sick . . . what's their problem? :mad4: lol

I also hate when sick passersby drop in on weddings uninvited!

So . . . has this happened to you? =)

Have you deleted the sick in hopes of keeping your family healthy OR do you just let the sick mingle freely and take your chances?

* yes, this is yet another one of those questions that have come to mind during my gameplay * =)

Yes, that IS an option BUT . . don't you risk exposure to germs that way?

* see how paranoid I am? * :dodge: lol

Yes, sort of.

We were just discussing this at More Awesome Than You. JM Pescado said that about once an hour a sim will drop an invisible plague tile and any sim who steps on that tile will become sick. So it's not necessarily the proximity to the sick sim but rather stepping on the plague tile.

Shame it's invisible...

I technically try not to get any of my sims sick in the first place. When they do get sick, I send them to do the recommended 10 hours of R&R that it takes to cure them. That way, I don't have to worry about sick visitors.

The problem is that healthy sims can drop the plague tile. Any time you have more than one sim in a household, you run a tiny risk of disease. The more sims and the longer they are in close proximity, the higher the risk that someone will get sick.

Me too Nihale . . . anytime anyone comes down ill, I just send them to bed and make them stay away from others until they're better. Interesting though, in a house I was playing last night, there are three brothers who share one room (two teens and a child). One of the teens was ill, but the other two slept in their beds normally and never came down ill. I did minimize exposure, when the sick teen was in bed, I did have the other two watching tv/doing other things until bedtime.

I've also noticed, after a sick sim has been in bed resting for some time, when they wake up if you have them use the loo, shower then eat this seems to finish up the healing process and they're healthy again. Strange . . .

You're lucky Hon! =)

If someone comes onto a lot you're playing and they're sick they usually cough like crazy. When I hear coughing, I know I have to move ASAP to get rid of the ill visitor! :surprised4: lol

Also, if you go to a community lot and someone there is sick, the game will alert you that there is a sick person on the lot. =)
