A request - can anyone make me a long gown for my Simmies, YA and/or Adult size, heavy black lace? I can't do lace to save my life, and you people are so good at it... and I used to have a frock like that. And nothing, underneath (well I guess a waist slip?) V neck and tiny buttons all the way down the front. Long sleeves. That was a very special dress and I have fond memories.

ps is this the wrong place to do this? Do we have a requests place anywhere?

It's as good of a place as any! We don't seem to a place for requests, though I suppose the Discussions and Help topics would be the most logical spot if you wanted to start a new thread.

Yeah, a long gown would need at least a waist-length slip unless someone can make a whole new mesh to support a see-through skirt.

Somewhere around here, I posted a bunch of different patterns that can be manipulated into lace. The tricky parts are getting it to line up where the front, back, sleeves, and feet attach; and making it symmetrical if that's the look you're after.

Addendum: By "heavy black lace" do you mean something like Wilhemina's Black Lace Top?

yes, that's what reminded me. I tried to make one but it was awful with a capital W.

maybe a teeny bit heavier than her lace but with slightly larger gaps in the lace? but something like.
