Lemme find my liner notes...

<roots around frantically>

Angelina save a place for me
I've been livin' someone else's life and now I've got to be free
Turn your transistor on and let the music play
I try to keep my family satisfied
But there's gotta be more to life than just try, try, try

oooooooooo I love Billy Joel

Half a Mile Away

I've got one:

(She) lingered last in line for brains
And the ones she got were sorta rotten and insane
Small thing’s so sad that birds could land
Is (she) fast asleep or rockin’ out with the band

I might be wrong but is that "Lump"?

If Im right here goes:

"Raised on promises
She couldn't help thinkin that there
Was a little more to life
Somewhere else
After all it was a great big world
With lots of places to run to"

If not ignore previous quote.

Tom Petty's "American Girl" (one of my favorite songs!)

Here's a good one (one that's near and dear to my heart)

Like a ghost - is the curtain
in the white light of the morning -
Dancing in the morning
are you there - are you there?
And a shadow - like a sadness
falling all across the garden
Dancing in the garden
are you there, are you there?

Concrete Blonde - Darkening of the Light

They took the credit for your second symphony.
Rewritten by machine and new technology,
and now I understand the problems you can see.
Oh-a oh

Hey Tom, do you like Concrete Blonde too? =)

Which is your favorite album/song? =D

Answer:

Video Killed the Radio Star by The Buggles (I remember that song ONLY because it was the very first video shown on MTV). lol

Did you think you didn't have to choose it
That I alone could win or lose it
In all the places we were hiding love
What was it we were thinking of?

No but I had heard that song before, don't ask me how though.

As for your next one, the lyrics sound very familiar but I don't have a clue.

Hmmm . . .

He was rather big in the 80's / early 90's . . . big hit in the 80's >> think of a long-tailed primate being jolted with electricity!

The lyrics I posted are from an album of his from the early 90's.

Peter Gabriel does Shock the Monkey. But I know that's not the song.

Well since you asked, and after I thought about it, I remember browsing through another user's music library on Napster, and thought what's
this Concrete Blonde, and I listened to it and found it to be a pretty good song. And like most songs when you like em they stick in your mind.

well, you had the Peter Gabriel part...the song is Secret World.

Edit: Oops...forgot the new lyrics:

"Take me out tonight
Where there's music and there's people
And they're young and alive
Driving in your car
I never never want to go home
Because I haven't got one
Anymore "
