Just as with anything else in life, you "get" what you "pay for" and the Resurrect-O-Nomitron is no different. When you call the Grim Reaper, be sure you know what you're doing, Grim is a busy guy and has no time for petty payouts, use caution! = O

Here's the lowdown on how to use this handy contraption . . . let's keep this on the down low . . .

You Pay:

1 - 987 :- Result: Resurrection fails and money lost.

988 - 4127: - Result: The Sim returns the same age as before death, but a zombie.

4128 - 8512: - Result: Sim returns but with all skills reduced by three levels and a reversed personality.

8513 - 10000: - Result: Sim returns perfectly, as they were before death plus relationship boost with resurrector.

** Regarding Sim Children: They either come back or not at all. Paying above 1000 gets your sim child back in a perfectly restored state.** No zombie children. =(

This concludes our broadcast day . . . Have Fun!

:bump:

Okay, maybe this is just me, but I think we sort of (not definite, sort of) can get zombie children. I was messing about with killing Sims and resurrecting them, and I resurrected a child.

When said child was resurrected, I only paid Death 1000, or thereabouts. I think my game may be seriously screwy, or it's those Maxis peeps, but Ye Olde Sim Who Did Ye Resurrection got a memory of "Made a Zombie". Ye Younge Child Sim also got memory of "Became a Zombie". They didn't look or act zombie-ish, but they thought they were.

Unfortunately, I killed them off again and deleted the grave before they became teens, so I couldn't test whether or not they actually were zombies.

One of the most interesting bits of that story is that you were able to kill a child. I thought I read somewhere that children couldn't die.

I think you can do it with hacks or boolprop cheats.

Contrary to popular belief, Sim-children can die without boolProp or hacks.

They can either drown, or

They may also be able to die of disease, but most Sims have automatically cured themselves before the disease can kill them.

So children are not immortal after all! They just think they are!
