PRAVDA

Pravda Top, Default Size
SimsHost subscribers can click on the image to download. 310 K.
This is a top for adult females, based on the standard T-shirt mesh.
The top includes the fingernail polish and undies shown. The undies might or might not show depending on what else your sim is wearing.
Unzip the file psattopdefpravda.zip and save the .package file in your Downloads or SavedSims folder.
Your sim might not appear to be quite as curvy as Svetlana depending on whether you have custom meshes installed to override the standard Maxis meshes.
See below for Svetlana's Skin tone.

She was last seen roasting her epidermis on the beach at Galveston but Svetlana Novitskova is proud of her heritage! Her top is a sure-fire conversation starter. The guys just have to ask her what it means; then no matter what she says, her adorable Russian accent triggers a total meltdown. Those few who aren't so addle-brained by the experience just might remember that she was born in Soviet Georgia and moved to the New World with her parents as a young girl just before the 1991 revolution. Things settled down in the homeland but they enjoyed the warm waters of the Gulf of Mexico so much that they decided to stay and open a restaurant on Beach Boulevard.

Would ya'll like some borscht with your meal, Comrade Bubba? Yup, the red star meets the lone star, and Svetlana is the star of the show!

Her ringer T-shirt sports the colors of the flag of the Russian Federation and features the Russian word pravda ("truth") on the front and a map of Russia on the back. It's a bit faded from being used as a cover-up on the beach, but nevertheless a unique expression of attention-seeking behavior.

The undies are part of the top. Her panties might show, depending on what else she puts on. This T-shirt is rather tight so her bra does show through a little bit, especially in harsh lighting (and if you have bump maps enabled in your game).

I pilfered the word Пра́вда from the masthead of the Russian newspaper of the same name (circa 1950). Whether Svetlana intended the word on her shirt to be a reference to the newspaper, or perhaps an invocation of a somewhat deeper philosophy, is something you'll have to ask her.

Svetlana's Skin Tone

SimsHost subscribers can also download Svetlana's dark-tanned skin tone. (Clink on that last link, y'see.)
Unzip the file psskntanned36d36.zip and save the .package in your Downloads folder. Make sure you have the right body mesh installed, too.
Warning: This skin tone has details of Svetlana's anatomy.
Important: This skin tone requires Warlokk's 36D-28-36 nude body mesh. You can download the body mesh and a lot of other neat stuff from Warlokk's Tower (hosted by Insimenator).
(The top above doesn't need a custom mesh; it uses the standard T-shirt mesh from the game.)

The skin tone features Svetlana's dark tan and the tan lines as shown in the picture.

You'll find a similar skin tone for the default Maxis body mesh in The Return of Tan Lines.

----------
I seem to be a T-shirt kick these days. This one came to mind while I was nattering about STS-115 and then Svetlana arrived to tell the tale.

Thanks for the heads up! I figured out how to make vBulletin work and fulfilled the request. Grin

Yeah, even after all our commiserating about how the colors could be confused with the colors of the US flag, I think it came out distinctly Russian.

I'll continue my world tour the next time I get a chance to fire up Body Shop. I really want to do that other one!

erm
mesh problem - Svetlana uses Warlokk's 36D-28-36 nude body mesh.

Is this the same as the Hi-res mesh that he is using these days? will it work?

(Sorry to be picky but I just lost a gorgeous Legacy Sim because she had a floating head and I didn't know which mesh was missing...)

and is it showerproof?

Yes, that's compatible with the current 34D-28-36 bodymesh.

If you didn't delete your Sim, I might be able to figure out how to fix her (other than the brute force method of installing every single one of Warlokk's nude top&bottom meshes).

Thanks Rose. I might well use her again, she is very pretty.
I have tried the brute force method you mentioned now, we will see if it works when I make her again in another Hood.

BUT

I thought I saw all sorts of dreadful warnings in Warlokk's thread about those meshes conflicting with later meshes. Stuff like this scares me, not without reason - I think I've had more Sims game disasters than anyone I know shocked

Do you know if there's any utility that lets you check for orphaned skins and meshes? I have so many custom skins that I don't know whether they will work or not. And not being a SimPE wizard, if a Sim dematerialises her body in the bath, it tends to spell doom for her... geek

Warlokk includes a cleanup batch program in his posts for the new meshes. You just download, unzip, drag it into the folder where the old meshes are, and double click. A DOS window will sproing open and you'll see a bunch of commands fly by. When it's done, you should have no old meshes left, just new ones.

For orphans, get DDO. Delphy's Download Organizer from MTS2.

Thanks, Rose.

Now all I have to do is work out how to use the download organiser....

shocked

I used to think my techy son was unusual among techy people in that every time we asked him to solve a problem he spent ten times as long writing a program to solve it, as it would have taken him to simply do the calculation. Now I know he is typical flower

SimText is the opposite. It's saved me more time than it took to write it!

DDO is pretty simple.

1) Run the program.
2) Use the top button to pick your Downloads directory.
3) Use the bottom button to start the scan.
4) When the new dialog opens, pick File->Scan for Duplicates. Resolve those.
5) Pick File->Scan for Orphans.
6) Click the Show Orphans check box.

Now you'll see a list of what you need to find meshes or textures for.

New version coming soon! Need to get the other puter with my source and functional DevStudio hooked back up. Actually going to implement an idea of yours -- let the user optionally type part of the filename.
