The Case of the Disappearing Sims sounds too much like my experience with Happy Valley! I'm wondering if some of them didn't properly make the transition to Pets.

Other people have reported missing Sims post-Pets. It's usually one or two, but one person said they'd lost a third of their Sims just before the 'hood went up in a fireball.

One potential culprit seems to be the hack that lets young adults live at home and attend college.

That sounds like a neat hack! It actually lets them live in the neighborhood so that they don't have to move to campus to become young adults?

Before blowing up the neighborhood, that is.

That's what it sounded like in the post. It would probably work perfectly in your game, since the vanishing Sim problem seemed to be Pets compatibility. I'll find the name and site for you in a minute.

Aren't you supposed to be picking the next generation of space vehicles or something?

Yeah. Or something. I keep flitting back here to find out if there's a report of something that needs to be fixed.

My neighborhood was beginning to get buggy before the Pets install, but I wouldn't doubt that the install was the straw that broke the camel's back, so to speak. All I can tell you, Greg, is be prepared...can't promise it won't be a repeat of your previous Nightlife fiasco, but maybe the damage will be minimal. At least those characters weren't vital to the main story from here on out. Another thing that happened was the main house became unplayable, but luckily I was able to work it into the plot and move the family out and into another house. I'll keep my fingers crossed for you, hopefully it won't be too bad for you.

So far, every time I think of even installing Nightlife, I think "It ain't broke, so why do you want to fix it?"

After all the noise about Pets, I doubt that I will ever install that one.

Hi kat!

Yeah, I will be wrapping this up eventually, but I have a lot of other projects I'm working on. And, when I do wrap it up, I'm afraid it will be text only because I bought a new computer right when Seasons came out and decided not to bother transferring old families. It's ok because I'm so close to the end, I think I can finish it up without any pics. This is all hoping all this survives the upcoming server transfer anyway...
