I can see how that would be important for those times when your mind is blank but you want to make noise anyhow. This is essential training for becoming a politician!

We used to have a mod that enabled using emoties in the topic but (obviously) I haven't installed it after recovering from the Great Hullabaloo Disaster.

"The Great Hullabaloo Disaster" was one weekend when its original webmaster blew away the entire board. She attempted to rehost it to different BBS software. She deleted the active version of the board before confirming that the transfer of the database had been successful. She had made a backup of the database but either wouldn't or couldn't restore it to a new installation of phpBB. Then she suddenly deleted the new board, closed her site, said she was leaving Sims fandom forever, and left us without any kind of discussion forum at all.

It took two weeks of time I didn't have but I was eventually able to recover the Hullabaloo back to about 98% of its former glory with the stories and discussions intact.

This is why all the download threads have :dl in the topic, just in case we get that working again...

Yeah, one of these years.

I've actually been toying with the idea of installing vBulletin so we can have member-contributed downloads, but if I do that, it will be on a new site.
