I am still needing help with this. I have tried everything I know, nothing works to keep the animal protection people from taking the kitten. The mother cat has all green with needs, as well as 100/100 with relationships with the sims who own them...still the protection people take the baby. As well, the mother will not go into the kittens bed, just meows outside it. I have tried moving it around so that there is nothing in the way of the entrance...nothing...please help this is so frustrating.

Not sure if this applies....
But I remember having kinda the same trouble, but w/ a baby... My sim wouldn't feed the baby or anything... I didn't know what to do.. I never had any hacks or anything in the game or anything.. I ended up getting frustrated and just moved to another lot... That worked... I think something got corrupt in the lot..
Maybe someone else can help w/ a solution instead of having to move..

What Expansions (other that UL, if any) do you have installed?

I've only managed to "produce" a kitten once, and it was when I had SIMS1 + all the EP's (including Makni' Magic) and everything worked out just peachy. Not an Animal Control Officer in site! I was wondering if maybe this was something that was "patched" with another EP or something.....just grasping at straws here! (I'm now running on CC, but as of yet no furry babies!)

(It has nothing to do with anything, but it's just to funny not to share: The "Kitten" in question was produced at the exact same moment as the parent Feline's owners finished up an impromptu session in their newly aquired Love Bed, and had a baby of their own! Why do I find this funny? Because the Sims in question were none other that Mr & Mrs Goth.....SR!!!!!!! Boy, that Viagra is amazing stuff! lol )

I had a kitten (well, Ginia's cat did) with just the EPs up to UL.

Don't know if this helps...

It breaks my heart to picture your beloved kittens taken away from you. I've never played unleashed, but that doesn't keep me from asking around. This is the answer I got:
"Did you try setting the bed in the middle of a room instead of up against a wall? I had a shower in one of the console versions that they wouldn't get in no matter which way it was facing if against a wall, but when I put it in the middle of the room, they started using it."

Yup. I was gonna say, my pets do best if you give them a room of their own. (I usually do it on the ground floor but doesn't have to be.) Like a bedroom, furnish with the best pet beds and toys, decorate, pic on the wall (can be cheap, light and a window. So they have their own space and are happy. Like in the house of Gunther and Cornelia. Every time i play Ginia Katz she expands her house and bingo, kittens!
