I voted for Uni. NL is such a toll on system resources.

I voted Nightlife...
I got bored w/ University after a couple weeks...
But it still is cute, just I end up comparing Sims2 w/
Sims1 and I loved the EP's for Sims1... So NightLife
reminds me a whole lot of Hot Date-- well, w/o the
vampires..

I voted Uni. I love the new careers and new opportunities it added to the game, and of course the new objects.

I haven't gotten Nightlife yet. Partly because of financial considerations, but if I *really* wanted it, I could probably find a way to make it happen. From what Greg has said, and from other things I've heard about NL, I would just as soon leave my *unbroken* and heavily hacked game as it is. Especially while I don't have internet on my main computer and can't download updated hacks and mods LOL!!!

I tend to be a late adopter in general. I have to fuss around with software enough in my day job that for home stuff I generally like to use very very very very well tested stuff, where if I run into some bug there's a good chance that I'll be able to Google up a nice consensus solution. And for NL in particular, I've probably been reading too many bug reports on the Web.

I'll probably wait at least until (say) the immediate flurry of modder activity over NL has settled down, and maybe even until this rumored patch comes out and the bleeding-edgers have tried it out. Unless I suddenly change my mind. *8)

DC

(And also because I'm just having so much fun with base+Uni that I don't feel any urgency...)

I voted Nightlife. While University gives more job options and the opportunity to lengthen a sims life period while building skills/relationships, I find myself trying to get them through it as quickly as possible. I find Nightlife useful for a lot of various reasons: dates can take a person from red to full plat in no time, meeting and socializing with people without having to worry about that pesky carpool coming just when things are starting to pick up, etc.

It looks like I did cast a vote in this one. It was either for University or Neither.

University was a disappointment because it missed the whole college experience unless your vision of college is "Animal House." And as for Nightlife--I found it to be so abysmal that I uninstalled it; but that's something of a legend around here.
