There must be... Greg keeps track of things in "Gregsim Days" or GD.

Eleanor the Tycoon
Big changes at the Love Nest
As described in excruciating detail on my site, Eleanor Raptor (Sally's older daughter) has gone into business. (This actually happened some time ago, but I need to fill in the back story.)
We're in the money
The 5K memory, I think, or possibly the 10K. Not the ideal career for a Romance Sim, but I thought it was time she started helping pay the bills.
Brandi LeTourneau has moved out.
A good-bye kiss
Brandi is, of course, off to start the saga of Rooms to Let.
Kennedy Cox has moved in.
A hello hug
And Kennedy and Eleanor are both Business Tycoons, or were for awhile, even though it's unrelated to either of their Lifetime Wants.
And Kennedy and Eleanor have both moved out again!
Leaving the only home she's ever known.
I've been too busy with other things to build them a house, so they're hanging out at the Bus Stop for now.
This has greatly simplified Sally's life, leaving her more time for...
But that's another story!
*8)
DC
And probably the next story that I'll tell in this thread, when I get around to it. That twenty-lover LTW is well within Sally's sight!

Jane apologizes
a small oddity
As described in the extended version of the story above, Jane Danvers got all upset once on seeing Eleanor kissing Kennedy Cox.
A busy day at the Love Nest
Sally's taking Goopy Gilscarbo upstairs for some friendly recreation, and Eleanor's courting Kennedy. It took me quite awhile to figure out why Jane was crying in the background; I eventually realized that since her father John once had an affair with Eleanor, Jane considers Eleanor to be cheating on John here. Which is Very Silly! After all, if she'd seen Eleanor kissing John, she would have cried because John was cheating on Jean (her mom). These Sims...
A few evenings later Jane and her wife Georgia did an odd walkby: Georgia walked right onto the lot and into the house and started playing the pinball machine (I still don't know what makes some Sims sometimes able to do that, but I'd certainly never seen Georgia do it at the Love Nest before), but Jane waited outside to be greeted.
When Eleanor came out and greeted her, Jane autonomously apologized to her; for exactly what I'm not sure.
"I'm so sorry I got mad at you for cheating on my father!"
"And I'd also like to mention that you're really hot." (I missed snapping the apology itself, but the attraction that immediately followed it is pretty funny too.)
Another similar oddity, when Christy Stratton apologized to Sally for having caught her cuddling in the hot tub with someone else, may turn up in the next spate of Sally pictures. Is there a consensus on whether the autonomous "apologize" action is hooked up backwards on purpose, or is it a bug of some kind?
Anyway, I thought it was funny. *8)

Sally's Next Five
Paging Zeno
As described in more detail elsewhere, Sally's again closed half the distance to her lifetime want:
Love number eleven: Brittany Upsnott
Continuing to work her way through Gina's friends from Sim State.
Love number twelve: Beverly Wood
Only one of her, though (see Too Many Beverlys)
Love number thirteen: Professor Marcel Todd
One of Gina's favorite SSU professors.
Love number fourteen: Professor Nathen Traver
The full posting has the traditional paired-hearts snapshot too, but I couldn't resist putting up this one instead, 'cause it's funny!
And love number fifteen: pretty Bartender Joanne Kim
Another of those magical Sims that can walk onto lots ungreeted.
Only five more to go!
The full posting also has pictures from Christy apologizing to Sally for catching her in the hot tub with Andrea, as alluded to earlier, and other unnecessary snapshots with witty captions.

Wow! Sally has been busy!
College professors are great canon fodder for Romance sims. You can love 'em and leave 'em without screwing up your families.
Do you happen to have the yellow teleporter from DMA Sims in your house? That thing will invite people automatically without them being greeted unless you turn it off.

Ohhhh... this is soo confusing! |
I read somewhere on maty or somewhere the other day a really contorted jealousy story, where a son actually got upset when he saw his parents kissing (or something like that) because of some amazingly indirect jealousy effect. It may be silly, but it helps keep things interesting... *8)

Indeed! Considerably busier, even, than I've had time to write up. *8) What with novel-writing and Thanksgiving cooking and all...

College student dalliances are good that way also, more or less. We're all forgiven for what we do in those years! (I used to think that an advantage of YAs was that they never do random non-University neighborhood walkthroughs. But I've now seen two interesting exceptions to that: Dawson Day, and one other in a part of Sally's story that I haven't written up yet. Very mysterious!)

No, the only behavioral thing I have installed is the No Age Discrimination mod. And most Sims still need to be greeted; there's only the occasional rather mysterious exception. I think family members and party guests always get free entry, but once in awhile a friend or acquaintance, or even a total stranger, does. I'm sure there's some rule behind it somewhere...

I can think of a few circumstances where sims enter others' houses uninvited:
1. The obvious behavior of several NPC's
2. A sim who is offended because you watched him with your telescope
3. Parents of children who are up late, including if the kids are just talking on the telephone
4. Parents of children who are offended because you called their children
5. Elders, because they do what they want to do whether you want them to or not

I'm not so sure the game forgives, though. A couple who have all their lives been 100% monogamous will be interested in each other, but any sim who has ever had an interlude with someone else, before or after marriage, will generate spontaneous wants regarding his mate much less frequently.

Indeed! But also, at least somewhat more mysteriously and from observation:
6. Georgia Zoom Danvers walks into her parents' house and makes herself at home uninvited and ungreeted,
7. Perhaps coincidentally, Georgia Zoom Danvers also walks into Sally Raptor's house and starts playing the pinball machine uninvited and ungreeted (Georgia is at the time good friends, but not lovers, with Eleanor who also lives there at the time),
8. Eleanor Raptor walks into the Langerak lot and gets into the hot tub uninvited and ungreeted (she and Kaylynn are still in love at this point, but Kaylynn isn't even home at the time),
9. Sally Raptor calls Joanne Kim and invites her over, but when she arrives Joanne gets straight into the hot tub rather than coming to the door (Joanne and Sally are I'm pretty sure in love at the time).
and I'm sure some others that I've forgotten. Also, perhaps relatedly, Dawson Day and one other gownie (or dormie?), who as YAs are usually only found on University lots, have walked up to Raptors' front doors in non-Uni residential lots and rung the doorbell uninvited.
Maybe there's a special "extra gregarious" token? Hm.

Oh, good observation! The elder Zooms still spin up the romantic Want cycle with gratifying frequency, but the Langeraks (for instance) almost never do. I'm not sure if the first-gen Danverses lost the cycle when John had his affair with Eleanor, or if it's just that there's so much else going on in their lives now that other things clutter up the Want stream. (Randy and Regina London still have frequent Wants about each other even though Regina was one of Gina Raptor's lovers in college, but due to move-in amnesia she's forgotten that, so if the effect is memory-based she's probably escaped it.)

The benefits of spiritual practice
Sally aloft
Sally Raptor has been alive for a good long time, thanks to generous supplies of Elixir. And despite the impression that the most recent couple of postings might have given *8) she doesn't spend all her time in amorous recreation; she also has a profound spiritual side (she would tell you, in fact, that the two are vitally linked).
All those years of spiritual work have had some practical side-effects.
If nothing else, there's a great view.
Thanks also to the Magical Building Faeries, of course, for putting in the floating meditation platform so Sally could teleport up to it. (Although this would be a cooler shot if the platform was less visible edge-on...)

That's something I've never seen! Do sims actually levitate while meditating?
